Terms of service
Last updated October 18, 2026
By using Horse Race (horserace.report), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the site is
Horse Race presents public campaign-finance records, published polls and estimates derived from them, for information and education. It is independent and nonpartisan, and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any candidate, party, campaign, committee or government agency, including the Federal Election Commission.
Forecasts and estimates
Projections, odds, scenarios and other modeled figures are estimates based on stated assumptions. They are not predictions of record, guarantees, or advice of any kind, including financial, legal or betting advice. Each figure links to its sources and method so you can judge it yourself.
Please don't bet on elections
Don't use anything on this site to bet on an election, whether through a sportsbook, a prediction market, event contracts or a private wager. The odds here come from simple models of public polls, and polls can all miss in the same direction; late money, scandals and turnout can upend a race overnight. People who set betting lines and market prices often have better information sooner, and the house or market takes a cut. Election betting is also illegal or restricted in many places.
Elections are civic choices, not wagers. The most useful thing to do with what you learn here is vote, and help others do the same. If gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER (U.S.).
Accuracy
We work to present data accurately, but sources contain errors, filings are amended and data arrives late. The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Check original filings before relying on a figure, and please tell us about anything that looks wrong.
Using the data
- Contributor information from FEC filings may not be sold or used to solicit contributions or for commercial purposes (52 U.S.C. § 30111(a)(4)). Don't use names or other details from this site for those purposes.
- Third-party data keeps its own license: for example VoteHub polls (CC BY 4.0) and Wikipedia text (CC BY-SA 4.0). The Sources page lists each dataset's publisher and license.
- Our charts, text and design are © Horse Race. You're welcome to link to pages and to quote or share screenshots of charts for commentary, reporting or education with credit to “Horse Race (horserace.report)”.
Acceptable use
Don't disrupt the site, get around its rate limits, scrape it in bulk, or use it to harass anyone. Automated access to the data endpoints is limited; for bulk data, go to the original sources listed on the Sources page.
Links to other sites
Links to filings, pollsters and other sites are provided for reference. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horse Race and its operator aren't liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the site or its data.
